
Yeoeun Shim is an intern at the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), where she supports the dissemination of knowledge resources and conducts research on National Implementation Plans (NIPs) submitted by the Parties to the Stockholm Convention. She also contributes to the development of regional outreach strategies for 32 countries, as part of Component 4 of the GEF ID 10785 "Global NIP Update Project."
She recently earned a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Seoul National University, where her research focused on the socio-spatial transformation of traditional markets in urban contexts. She has an extensive background in research, serving as an intern at the Institute of Euro-African Studies and the Center for Asian Studies, as well as a policy monitoring fellow at the People's Initiative of Development Alternatives. Her primary capabilities are qualitative insights, which she is passionate about applying to global environmental initiatives and sustainable, inclusive development.
