This project is based on an agreement signed beetween the Ministry of Environment of Paraguay (SEAM) and The World Bank on June 26, 2007. This cooperation consisted of two main areas which were identified, agreed and developed under the leadership of SEAM. These areas of activity were (1) the development of expeditious technical studies to analyze the potential mitigation of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in five priority sub-sectors of productive activity and (2) capacity building within SEAM, and dissemination of key aspects of the on Clean Development Mechanism between stakeholders.
