The project aims to deal with priority challenges of LAC countries and strengthen the sustainable use of natural resources (water, soil, land, renewable energy, biodiversity), taking into account their respective environmental legislation.
It aims to strengthen capacity of government officials for the negotiation and implementation of trade agreements, by providing the know-how to realize the value of actions and products derived from human activity; which have a lesser impact on the environment and a greater impact on quality of life. Given the substantial increase in exports to LAC, regional trade agreements and environmental provisions in these agreements, providing a capacity building program on issues of trade goods and services is critical. By taking advantage of this opportunity, participants can realize and strenthen the interconnection of the sustainable use of natural resources, trade agreements, and the well-being of their country.
