This report lays out a strategy for putting Americans back to work building a vibrant 21st century U.S. economy based on advanced technologies, good jobs, clean energy, climate safety, and economic security.
The report offers a pathway to achieve net-zero emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050 – thereby providing a basis for a dramatically ramped-up American contribution to the Paris Climate Agreement.
The report draws from and expands upon two prior Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) reports, Pathways to Deep Decarbonization in the United States (2014) and Policy Implications of Deep Decarbonization in the United States (2015) and outlines in detail what needs to happen to maximize the gains and minimize the costs of the required energy transition.
