GGGI’s Green Rehabilitation Investment Project for Karakalpakstan Republic to Address Impacts of the Aral Sea Crisis (Aral Sea GRIP), funded by KOICA, set up awareness-raising and capacity development activities as one of the key outcomes of the project.
These activities increase knowledge and skills to improve peoples’ resilience to climate change now and in the future through the development of knowledge products, engaging learning materials, training sessions for different demographics and a media campaign. The measures promoted through the activities propose Climate Adaptation methods to improve livelihoods in this agricultural-sector-driven region.
This infobrief compiles information on all the awareness-raising and capacity building activities as well as the numbers of people influenced by those activities.
