This report explores how decentralized renewable energy can boost productivity and resilience in farming communities in Nepal.

Focusing on four key value chains  maize, apples, fish and millet  it shows how solar and other renewables can power irrigation, milling, drying, cold storage and more, improving crop quality, reducing spoilage and raising incomes, especially for women farmers.

The report also highlights the potential of underused mini grids to support agriculture and details investment needs and CO₂ reduction opportunities.
