This report examines common information challenges stakeholders face when making decisions related to environmental sustainability and explores the role that digital public infrastructure (DPI) can play as a key part of the solution.
It analyzes three cases in the agri-food sector, identifies six categories of technological innovations, and proposes a publicly supported digital ecosystem to enhance transparency, data availability, and stakeholder empowerment. Key recommendations for policy, standardization, financing, innovation and collaboration are also provided to support the development and implementation of DPI for environmental sustainability.
