diversification for climate resilience

Forest and farm producer organizations show extraordinary capacity to build resilience in the face of climate change. They act routinely to assess climate and other risks and adopt practical climate-resilience responses to help their members thrive.

This report outlines climate resilience in the context of the forest and farming sector. To this end, the report introduces a climate framework and how to build it, including 30 practical climate-resilience options for organizations. It also includes an analysis of 10 international climate-resilience case studies that show the extraordinary extent to which forest and farm producer organizations are pushing ahead with climate-resilience options.

The target group of this report includes representatives of forest and farm producer organizations and their technical support partners. It aims to build confidence in an approach and options for these organizations to strengthen climate resilience to the benefit of local forest and farm producers. A secondary target audience is donors and government decision-makers who can upscale financial support for strengthening climate resilience.
