UNESCAP Survey 2026

Although Asia-Pacific economies continue to outpace global growth, rising geopolitical tensions, trade protectionism and climate pressures are weighing on the region's economic outlook, with vulnerable populations facing the greatest risks.

This report examines how countries can advance the transition to environmentally sustainable economies while sustaining socioeconomic prosperity.

It presents a new policy framework, drawing on political economy and behavioural science to help countries design transition pathways that reflect their national priorities and circumstances.
