The International Carbon Action Partnership’s new report Emissions Trading Worldwide: International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) Status Report is a yearly review on all activities in emissions trading around the world. It highlightes important trends and provides a comprehensive outlook on central developments in carbon markets to come. The 2018 edition finds that 2017 marks a key step forward for emissions trading with the adoption of Emissions Trading System (ETS) in emerging economies, structural reforms and new cooperation initiatives that have boosted confidence in carbon markets and help establish emissions trading as an important tool in reaching the goals of the Paris Agreement.
