Employment in the circular economy: Leveraging circularity to create decent work

This report provides the first comprehensive estimate of the scale, structure and characteristics of employment in the circular economy. Covering 177 countries, it captures jobs across both the formal and informal economy. 

The study is the result of three years of collaboration between Circle Economy, the International Labour Organization and the World Bank Group, offering robust data and analysis. 

Supported by the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) and guided by an international advisory board, the report equips decision-makers with evidence and policy insights, and sets a global standard for measuring circular economy employment.
