Five Priorities for a Green and Inclusive

Cambodia aims to elevate its status to an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050, with a strong focus on inclusiveness and environmental sustainability. To meet these ambitious targets, the country’s economic growth drivers must evolve to become greener, more competitive, and inclusive.

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that Cambodia's economic sectors grow sustainably by integrating decarbonization, clean energy transitions, and circular economy principles.

Key strategies include greening the garment industry, directing green investments towards vulnerable communities and small businesses, and fostering policy coherence and multi-stakeholder partnerships to enhance green skills and limit job losses.
