The 2021 Global Forests Report analyses the state-of-play of private sector action to tackle deforestation and the climate crisis, and offers a clear way forward for companies to achieve deforestation-free supply chains.
The report finds that companies must expand their actions across the whole business (scale); act across all relevant commodities, regions and ecosystems; and ensure the implementation of these actions drive the measurable impact needed to halt deforestation (rigour).
By documenting areas of progress and gaps in company actions, the report highlights what must still be done to transform supply chains — not only to curtail deforestation and ecosystem conversion, but also set a course to meeting climate and nature goals.
