Global Gender Gap 2024

The Global Gender Gap report benchmarks gender parity across economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival, and political empowerment, tracking progress in numerous economies over time.

This year's report evaluates gender parity across 146 economies and offers a comprehensive analysis of gender parity developments in two-thirds of the world’s economies. By examining a consistent subset of 101 countries included since the index's inception, it provides a robust sample for longitudinal and trend analysis.

The index uses a 0-100 scale, with scores reflecting the percentage of the gender gap closed, facilitating cross-country comparisons to identify effective policies.
