This is GGGI Technical Report No. 38 – Impact and Achievement of the Korea Green New Deal Trust Fund (2022-2024).
The Korea Green New Deal Trust Fund (KGNDTF) is a trust fund established at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) with financial support from the Republic of Korea, through the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE). The Fund supports global climate action and inclusive green growth in line with Korea’s Green New Deal vision and international climate goals.
KGNDTF collaborates with partner countries by strengthening policy frameworks, developing bankable project pipelines, and mobilizing climate-aligned investment across key sectors, including renewable energy, sustainable transport, circular economy, and climate-resilient infrastructure.
This report provides an overview of the Fund’s objectives, governance, and operations, and assesses portfolio performance and results achieved between 2022 and 2024, highlighting key contributions, implementation challenges, and lessons learned to inform the Fund’s future strategic direction.
