Intentionally Designing Sustainable Consumption and Production Policies and Practices to Reduce Inequalities

Today’s global economy and its linear extract–process–consume–dispose model drive resource depletion and reinforce inequality. 

This report outlines actions to reshape how we produce and consume resources, rebalance global trade, strengthen governance, expand fiscal space for human well-being and support societal and technological shifts. 

It also highlights the need to incentivize cleaner technologies and rethink how we measure progress, moving beyond traditional economic metrics toward broader well-being.
