This report summarises a training webinar on the Introduction to PCDDs/PCDFs and Unintentional POPs: Emission control and inventory development. It focused on the formation, release, and management of unintentionally produced POPs (uPOPs), including PCDD/PCDFs, unintentional PCBs, PCNs, HCB, PeCB, and HCBD. It provided insights into the release of other pollutants from key Annex C sources, highlighting the necessity of adopting an integrated pollution prevention and control approach.

The session underscored the importance of developing robust national inventories to accurately identify, quantify, and prioritize sources of these pollutants, alongside strategies for their minimization and, where feasible, elimination. It also introduced the UNEP Toolkit methodology, which guides the development of uPOPs inventories.
