Investing in Gender and Nature: Opportunities for DFIs and MDBs

Investing at the gender–nature nexus offers development finance institutions (DFIs) and multilateral development banks (MDBs) a timely opportunity to generate financial returns while advancing biodiversity goals under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). 

This action brief invites DFIs, MDBs and impact investors to embed a nature-gender lens across their investment processes and operations. 

Drawing on interviews with key ecosystem actors, it highlights practical, incremental entry points to support implementation.
