The National Gender Profile of Agriculture and Rural Livelihoods - Ghana assesses the gender-related disparities of the agricultural and rural sectors in Ghana related to access to credit and financial services, access to technologies and innovations, receiving extension and information services, taking ownership and control of land and farm enterprises, the effect of climate change on farming activities, and social protection. This assessment highlights existing barriers that hinder women's empowerment, including unsatisfactory access to information to increase technical agriculture knowledge, the overrepresentation of women in informal employment, and the gap between policies and action in rural areas.
