This report summarizes the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) workshop on Outreach and Awareness-raising on POPs for the General Public and Private Sector, held on 19 May 2026.
The workshop introduced two editable outreach packages — one for the private sector and one for the general public — and provided guidance on adapting them to national contexts. The private sector package covers POPs use, legacy contamination, control challenges and risk reduction responsibilities. The public package promotes awareness through clear, practical guidance for priority audiences.
The workshop also highlighted the Seychelles' experience in stakeholder engagement and site visits.
As part of the GEF-funded and UNEP-led Global Development, Review and Update of NIPs under the Stockholm Convention on POPs project, the GGKP is executing Component 4, focused on disseminating information, managing knowledge and coordinating with the Stockholm Convention Secretariat to provide accessible, integrated tools and resources for all Parties.
