This report summarises the first online consultation on "Outreach and Engagement with Major Stakeholder Groups for Developing National Implementation Plans (NIPs)". Acknowledging the complexities of NIP development and implementation, particularly robust stakeholder engagement during inventory data collection exercise, and the need for outreach during and after NIP development, the consultation focused on practical aspects of this engagement in different regional and national contexts. Participants engaged in discussions, emphasizing the crucial role of the private sector in providing comprehensive data on POPs production, use, and presence in various products and materials.
The consultation also explored current outreach practices and approaches countries apply to enhance information dissemination, build capacity, and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
