This study provides insights into the potential benefits of adopting sustainable rice management practices, ultimately contributing to environmental conservation and improved agricultural resilience in Thailand.
The analysis focuses on five key rice management practices that enhance sustainability and align with the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Standard. These practices include improved water management, nutrient management, natural soil fertility enhancement, integrated pest management and the elimination of rice straw burning.
It also examines the impact of these sustainable practices in Thailand, assessing how various factors in rice systems respond to their increased adoption as promoted by the SRP Standard.
