Rebooting Quality Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future

This report provides a holistic overview of the need for quality infrastructure to attain the SDGs. It is organized by three dimensions—building prosperity, meeting the needs of people, and protecting the planet—and it proposes that the foundation of quality infrastructure consists of five building blocks—metrology, standardisation, conformity assessment, accreditation, and market surveillance. The report highlights the need for quality infrastructure to adapt to a new future, focusing on a circular economy that is inclusive, economical, ecological, and sustainable.
