This book showcases the evolution of the the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and its efforts to provide the region’s governments and stakeholders with policy knowledge to effectively address sustainable development challenges and opportunities.

It analyses the ADBI's role in several major events of global relevance, such as the 1997-1998 Asian financial crisis, the global financial crisis in 2008 and 2009 and its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It also provides an overview of the various work the ADBI has conducted in policy research, capacity building or trainings. All of this leads to an outlook about ADBI's relevance for the next 25 years. 

Founded in 1997, the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) has since provided governments and stakeholders in Asia and the Pacific with policy knowledge to effectively address sustainable development challenges and opportunities.
