Based on research conducted in Mexico, Indonesia, and Rwanda, this study assesses the job creation potential of renewable energy technologies under various power sector pathways based on National Energy Plans and countries’ NDCs.
The resource, National Alliances for Buildings and Construction: Long-term partnerships for the energy transition synthesises existing experiences of five national alliances in France, Germany, Mexico, Morocco and Tunisia, and proposes recommendations for the establishment of more national alliances to create the momentum needed to achieve low emission, resilient and efficient building.
This report maps existing initiatives of identified CCFLA members in Mexico with regards to local and regional governments. Focusing on early-stage project preparation, the report investigates how CCFLA should engage with governments to to offer coordinated and coherent support.
Based on preliminary identification of environmental priorities, this report explores selected topics that aim to inform decision-making in the Yucatán Peninsula. A general context of integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) is used to explore issues, constraints, and potential solutions. The role of geomorphology is examined with a view to identifying how shore management plans can contribute to improved coastal management. The report also demonstrates how rigorous economic tools can provide insights into the economic impacts of extreme climate events and of economic losses from environmental degradation. It concludes with options for consideration in the years ahead in relation to pilot projects and interventions, technical assistance, institutional strengthening, and monitoring, evaluation, research, and development.
