This issue paper proposes a novel framework to support a transformative recovery in cities of the global South after COVID-19.

This report intends to provide practical recommendations on how industrial parks can promote the circularity of resources and strengthen competitiveness through innovative technologies and business models, and what governments can do to support such initiatives.

This document outlines problems facing many linear cities today, and argues the case for circular change. It highlights elements that make cities suitable as both cradles and catalysts for a circular transition. The document also provides concrete guidance on how a linear city can start the circular journey, presented in the form of 15 circular steps.
This report by C40 Cities analysed and modelled what could happen if Canada's major cities collectively prioritised a green and just recovery consistent with limiting global heating to less than 1.5 degrees Celsius. A recovery based on the principles of a Global Green New Deal would see COVID-19 stimulus funds channelled to expenditure in key areas, such as building retrofits, mass transit, walking and cycling infrastructure and clean energy.

The publication provides policy and planning recommendations, as well as practical initiatives and approaches that secondary cities can use. It is intended for leaders and policymakers responsible for the development of secondary cities, but it will be of interest to other readers involved in urban and regional development recovery efforts post COVID-19.
