Circular Jobs Monitor is an online tool that gathers, displays and keeps track of changes to the circular economy's labour market potential over time. The platform monitors and studies the circular economy employment opportunities, aiming to generate and redistribute jobs across disparate industries and geographies. It provides policymakers, economists and labour organizations with qualitative insights into evidence-based strategies against which to monitor future progress. Users can access data on the progress of policies and geographic movements.
The monitoring system classifies over 2,000 sectors and can be used to map the amount and situated allocation of circular jobs in any territory; each territory then generates quantitative data based on sectors and strategies. The system ultimately aims to strengthen the argument for businesses and governments to focus on circular economy activities.
