From 28 April to 9 May 2025, the Conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions will convene under the theme "Make Visible the Invisible: Sound management of chemicals and wastes".
The meetings will bring together governments, international organizations and stakeholders to strengthen global cooperation on the safe management of chemicals and waste. A dedicated high-level segment will offer an interactive platform for ministers and senior officials to exchange experiences, demonstrate leadership and renew their commitment to the conventions.
Discussions will also focus on the role of the conventions in addressing major environmental challenges, including pollution, biodiversity loss and climate change.
