On 29 July 2021, the Climate Bonds Initiative is hosting a webinar on "The Coming Climate Policy Acceleration- Outlook and Impacts for Investors".
Commissioned by the Principles for Responsible Investment in 2018, the Inevitable Policy Response (IRP) seeks to provide institutional investors with a forward assessment of coming acceleration in global and national policies on climate, carbon, energy, industry, transition, net zero and land use. Against the backdrop of the fast-approaching 2023 Paris Stocktake and the 2025 Paris Ratchet, IPR forecasts an acceleration of policymaker actions, posing increased climate-related investment impacts for asset owners and managers.
The webinar will discuss what investors should do to prep for the coming 2020s acceleration of climate policy, the impacts the new EU Climate Plan and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) will have on the investment landscape, and what the implications are for investors, sustainable finance and global capital markets.
