On 7 December 2017 (3:00 PM IST), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is holding a webinar on "Effects of Various Disaster Management Approaches: An Evidence Summary".

The webinar is a part of TERI and Department for International Development (DFID) study titled "Evidence summary on Effects of various disaster management approaches".

Many countries in South Asia have spent significant financial resources improving their response and readiness towards disasters. Consequently, the assessment of the efficacy and effectiveness of the response to disasters is required to ensure that resources are used in the most efficient and effective way. As the literature on disaster management is varied and extensive, it becomes crucial to evaluate the effectiveness of the various disaster management approaches for long-term outcomes. Given the importance and advantages of evidence based policy making, TERI and DFID has conducted an evidence summary to evaluate the effectiveness of various Disaster Management Approaches and to contextualize its finding for the South Asian countries.

TERI, DFID, EPPI-Centre, PwC and LIRNEasia have came together for hosting a one-hour online webinar focusing on effects of various disaster management approaches and their significance in South Asian context. The webinar aims to disseminate findings of the study and enrich from the experiences of the experts.
