Greening the Economy through COVID-19 Recovery Policies

On 26 February 2021 at 10:00 (CET), CEPS is hosting a webinar on "Greening the economy through COVID-19 recovery policies".

During this webinar, CEPS will host a high-level dialogue between the Director of DG CLIMA at the European Commission and the Japanese ambassador to the EU, on “actual and practical economic recovery policies that can help with greening our economies”. In the second half of the meeting this is continued by a debate session with the Japanese and EU discussants.

Specific issues to be discussed include:

• Green recovery: defining “build back better” in Japan and the EU – what investments are “no regret”, what investments are to be avoided?
• A resilient global economy: how can it be fostered?
• A global hydrogen economy: who will produce and consume hydrogen?
