On 3 November 2022 (12:00 CET), Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC) will host a webinar on ecosystem monitoring and management in the Goro coastal lagoon in Italy.
This event focuses on the Goro lagoon, which is an important source of fisheries in the Adriatic Sea. Integrated management of this system is fundamental to maintaining its delicate ecological balance and safeguarding the quality of both the water and the seabed.
Speakers Massimo Ponti of the University of Bologna and Luis Germano Biolchi of ArpaE-SIMC will present on the CASCADE project, which allows for a more informed decision-making process through the integration of observations and modeling approaches. The knowledge acquired and the new technologies developed will help find the right trade-off between conservation and exploitation of the transitional waters of this important ecosystem.
