On 28 September 2022, the Science Based Targets Initiative is launching its Science Based Target Setting Guidance on forestry, land and agriculture (FLAG).
The standards are the world's firsts for companies in land-intensive sectors that represent nearly a quarter of global annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The guide offers a science-based pathway to how much and how quickly a company needs to cut its land-related emissions to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
This virtual event will introduce the guide, discuss how businesses in this sector can set robust emissions reduction targets, account for GHG removals and accelerate their decarbonization efforts to keep the 1.5°C global temperature target within reach.
