On 4 December 2019 at 3:00PM - 4:00PM CET, the One Planet Network is hosting a webinar on The Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI): Building trust in sustainability standards worldwide.
The webinar will introduce the Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative benchmarking process and its role in the responsible sourcing marketplace. Participants will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the criteria developed by the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) and how they can contribute to the on-going conversations to build trust in the social standards landscape. You will learn about SSCI and how this benchmark builds trust in third-party social sustainability standards by recognising those that meet the criteria.
The webinar will showcase how CGF established the foundational criteria for social sustainability and social scheme management with the potential to expand to environmental criteria. CGF will also show how companies can use SSCI as part of their due diligence toolkit for responsible sourcing and how new and existing social standards can integrate the expectations of multinational companies from the consumer goods industry.
