On 23 November 2021 (13:00 CET), the TRADE Hub is hosting the webinar "Trade and Nature: Trade-offs and Solutions - Trade, Biodiversity and Climate Change".

The discussion will include answers to the questions:

  • What is the outlook for evolving global trade policies in relation to climate change and biodiversity, particularly in Indonesia, the UK, and Brazil?
  • How can the Forest, Agriculture and Commodity Trade Dialogue (FACT Dialogue), newly launched at COP26, contribute to meeting the goal of halting and reversing forest loss by 2030?

The TRADE Hub international webinar series aims to disseminate the project’s key findings on key themes to a wider audience and to provide a discussion platform with key stakeholders.

Objectives of the webinar series:

  • Identify and share case studies from our focal countries, emphasizing gaps in understanding trade and its social and environmental implications, and how these are being addressed within the TRADE Hub
  • Present recent findings and methods of the project
  • Clarify the boundaries of the intractable challenge that the TRADE Hub is addressing, and demonstrate how to create impact, and the plans to continue building on this impact
