On 29 January 2018 (2:00 PM CET), GIZ and Ricardo are holding a webinar on "Transport in NDCs – Lessons Learnt and How to Raise Ambition".
As a follow-on to the 23rd Conference of the Parties in Bonn, Germany, this webinar presents insights into the development and implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in the transport sector. These insights are based on findings from case studies from rapidly motorising countries, including Bangladesh, Colombia, Georgia, Kenya, Nigeria, Peru and Vietnam. The webinar will highlight how transport is represented in NDCs and what conclusion can be drawn for NDC revision, and will also describe challenges and lessons learnt from case studies. The webinar aims to provide a series of recommendations to help donors and policy makers overcome these and other issues as part of the on-going process of NDC development defined by the 2015 Paris Agreement.
