On 19 November 2020 at 14:00 (CEST), the World Bank Group is hosting a webinar on 'Accelerating Investments in Green Real Estate with Technical Assistance'.
The webinar will discuss how financial institutions can advance their green real estate programs by providing technical assistance to developers and by using EDGE. With EDGE as a part of the eligibility process, banks can access a more diversified pool of international green finance and accelerate the deployment of investments.
The webinar, organized by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and Sintali-SGS, will share best practices learned from financial institutions that have used EDGE and technical assistance programs to build their pipeline of green projects. Technical assistance options have included (1) comprehensive technical assistance through IFC's advisory, (2) in-house expertise, (3) contracting external EDGE Experts, and (4) a no-cost technical assistance option available through Sintali-SGS. Attendees will learn about the Global Climate Partnership Fund, whose global real estate investment program was recently recognized by the Financial Times' Transformational Business Awards, and the fund’s success with EDGE.
