The past decades have witnessed unprecedented growth in global consumption of raw materials, which also lead to increased environmental pressures. As a response to these challenges, countries across the world have made the transition to a circular economy one of their policy priorities, including the Czech Republic.
This case study outlines the Czech Republic's current barriers -- cultural, market, technological and regulatory barriers -- for businesses transformation towards a circular economy and suggests ways to remove them. It also introduces different aspects of the circular economy with best practices.
