SwitchMed Business Case: Valorization Of Whey In Lebanon’s Dairy Sector

This case study examines the economic and environmental advantages of transforming whey into a different products, based on a pilot project conducted by two Lebanese dairy companies. The case study illustrates how valorization practices can lower costs, improve environmental performance, and boost profits for the company and what steps were taken by the dairies to develop a marketable dairy product made from "wasted" whey.
