On 3-7 June 2024, the the Spanish National Research Council's Institute of General Organic Chemistry (IQOG-CSIC), will organized the first PFAStwin Summer School.
This educational event focuses on advancing knowledge about persistent organic pollutants (POPs), with a particular emphasis on perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The programme will cover a range of topics including the nature of POPs, international regulations, advanced analytical techniques, case studies and remediation technologies. Participants will learn about effective sampling, sample treatment and cutting-edge analytical methods such as gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (LC) paired with advanced mass spectrometry. The event aims to equip attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle environmental challenges posed by POPs, especially PFAS.
Participants are also invited to attend the summer school online. For those interested in attending any of the sessions, please contact the organizers to receive the application form or visit the website.
