On 6-8 December 2022, Sitra and the African Development Bank will host the annual World Circular Economy Forum. This hybrid event will be comprised of accelerator sessions, studios and side events. 

The session on 6 December focus on topics around circular business, trade and value chains while the session on 7 December will explore the value of partnerships, knowledge sharing and finance in the global circular transition. The second day will also give insight into local technologies and youth-led innovation. On 8 December, accelerator sessions will be held by partner organizations with an outcome-oriented focus.

Locally Led Solutions to Accelerate Circularity within Businesses 

  • On 8 December 14:00 - 15:30 CET the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) and GO4SDGS will host an accelerator session as part of the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2022, which will focus on how to support locally-led solutions to accelerate circularity within businesses. This session explores the importance of revitalising regional network of National Cleaner Production Centers (NCPC) to ensure best practice support is available to businesses investing in circularity from the local level. It further illustrates how such a network can help NCPCs enhance their role and performance within corporate circular economy supply chain initiatives.
