On 5 October (12:00 - 16:00 CEST), the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), together with our partners the World Resources Institute (WRI), Cities4Forests, Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), and African Development Bank (AfDB) are hosting a nature-based solutions (NBS) workshop that will build on existing collaborations and launch new communities-of-practice to address the urgent need for climate adaptation, water resilience, and biodiversity investments in sub-Saharan Africa. Join leading thinkers, experts, practitioners, and funders for a day of learning and cross-collaboration, in person or online.

Green Recovery, Green Jobs, and Inclusive Growth in Africa
On 7 September 2022 (14:00-15:30 Abidjan time), a webinar, 'Green Recovery, Green Jobs, and Inclusive Growth in Africa' will take place virtually. The webinar is part of a series on Mainstreaming Natural Capital in Africa’s Post-COVID Development Agenda co-organized by AfDB, GGKP and WWF Africa, in collaboration with the AUC and the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre, under the Mainstreaming Natural Capital in African Development Finance (NC4-ADF) Programme.

3 Ways to Engage in Nature-Based Solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa
GGKP is currently working closely with the World Resources Institute (WRI), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Bank to demonstrate the portfolio adoption and regional enabling conditions for the successful design, finance and implementation of nature-based solutions (NbS) in African development finance.
The blog authored by WRI experts shows the three ways to engage in this process which will provide insights the status and extent of NbS adoption, the regional enabling conditions for successful NBS design, finance and implementation, and the strategies to unlock committed climate finance for nature.
The Natural Capital for African Development Finance (NC4-ADF) project aims to lay the foundation for natural capital-based green economies in Africa by mainstreaming natural capital in African development finance.
