The Infrastructure Sustainability Learning Model event with organisations logos
On 12 June 2023 (13:00 -14:00 CEST), the United Nations Environment Programme, the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability at Duke University, and GIZ, within the framework of the Geneva Environment Network, will present the Infrastructure Sustainability LEarning (ISLE) model as a means of supporting countries in implementing UNEA Resolutions 4/5 and 5/9 on sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
Making infrastructure more sustainable: applying policy tools to create impact
This event will present the UN Environment Programme’s (UNEP) International Good Practice Principles for Sustainable Infrastructure and the Enabling Better Infrastructure (EBI) guidance, and showcase how government officials, practitioners, and civil society officials from Egypt, Ghana, and Pakistan have used such tools to integrate sustainability concerns into long-term infrastructure planning processes at the country and regional levels.
The EMG Nexus Dialogues bring together experts from diverse institutions and disciplines to explore how natural infrastructure can deliver on the SDGs while stimulating economies and building the resilience of infrastructure systems in the COVID-19 recovery context.
