Adopted on the 27 July 2010 by the Interministerial Committee for Sustainable Development, France’s National Sustainable Development Strategy (NSDS) Towards a Green and Fair Economy 2010-2013 provides a frame of reference and policy framework for all national, public and private stakeholders in the field of sustainable development.
The NSDS aims for a decarbonized and equitable economy through nine strategic challenges: sustainable consumption and production; the knowledge society; governance; climate change and energy; sustainable transport and mobility; conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity and natural resources; public health, risk prevention and management; demography, immigration and social inclusion; and the international challenges of sustainable development and the fight against global poverty.
