Thematic Report on Access and Benefit-Sharing assesses the capacity-building needs for access and benefit-sharing (ABS) of genetic resources in Guyana. It fully assesses the capacity building needs and priorities of the Government of Guyana (GoG) and seeks to establish protocols and mechanisms for granting access to, and benefit-sharing of its genetic resources. The report includes the process of report preparation, information on intellectual property and traditional knowledge related to genetic resources and an indicative case study of the Iwokrama International Centre (IIC) and the North Rupununi Communities.
