The Tenth National Economic and Social Development Plan aims to pursue a green and happiness society under the direction of the sufficiency economy philosophy. The mission of the tenth plan is to enhance the efficient economy, conserve biodiversity and build a secure natural resource base, increase the capability of people to achieve self-reliance through knowledge, good health and strong communities and improve the national administration with strong governance and democracy with the king as the head of the state.
The Tenth National Economic and Social Development Plan adheres to the new development paradigm and focuses on the participation of people from all levels of the society in every procedure of the performance from the brainstorming and planning process to joining in development in conformity with the role and responsibility of each part of the society. The objectives of the Tenth National Economic and Social Development Plan are to provide opportunities for learning, increase the potential of communities by linking them in networks, reform the production structure for goods and services for value creation on a foundation of knowledge and innovation, build safety nets and risk management systems for the sectors of finance, banking, energy, factor markets, the labor market and investments, preserve natural resource and promote good governance. Therefore, it is necessary to mobilize the resources both from inside and outside of the public sector and reinforce social power from every part of the society to push the strategies to be implemented materialistically.
