The GGKP Gender Expert Group is pleased to present the GGKP Gender Expert Group Brochure, which provides an overview of the Expert Group's mission, members and partners, and main work activities since its inception in November 2021.
A collaboration among leading organisations, the Gender Expert Group convenes global experts in green growth and gender to catalyse collective action towards gender equality and women's empowerment in global green transitions. Specifically, the Expert Group provides research and capacity building to respond to critical knowledge and data gaps and aid evidence-based policy development on integrating gender equality in green growth approaches.
The group has engaged in a series of research activities surrounding 'Gender-Just Transitions' and has produced three knowledge products that review gender equality implications in just transition roadmaps. It's latest working paper – Powering a Gender-Just Energy Transition – proposes a Gender-Just Energy Transition Outcomes Framework, which identifies impact areas for gender equality along the value chain and aims to provide sectoral guidance for practitioners and policymakers to assess, identify and implement gender equality outcomes in energy transition initiatives.
