UNEP’s Congo Basin Sustainable Landscapes Programme (CBSL) is leading the GEF-7 Congo Basin Impact Programme and the upcoming GEF-8 Congo Critical Forest Biomes Integrated Programme (CFB IP) in six central Africa countries.

As part of the larger GEF-8 Amazon, Congo, and Critical Forest Biomes Integrated Programme, a technical workshop was organized in Panama to establish a framework for learning and knowledge sharing to advance transformative change in primary tropical forests, using the five regional GEF platforms (Amazon, Congo, the Indo-Malaya region, Mesoamerica, and the Guinean forests of West Africa), linking with other relevant GEF8 Integrated Programmes (Ecosystem Restoration, Food Systems, Wildlife Conservation for Development, and Net-Zero Nature-Positive Accelerator). The technical workshop was held from October 7-10 in Panama City, Panama.
