Alex is an Associate in WRI's U.S. Climate Initiative. His work includes research on carbon removal pathways in forestry and agriculture, technical assistance to state and federal policymakers, and developing partnerships on nature-based solutions with businesses and other stakeholders.
Alex has previously served as a Program Associate with the ClimateWorks Foundation and as an Emissions Trader with Southern California Edison, where he supported implementation of California's Greenhouse Gas Cap-and-Trade Program.
He holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from the Nicholas School at Duke University in Durham, N.C., and a B.A. in Environmental Analysis from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif.
Alex enjoys wildlife photography, jazz, and all manner of outdoor activities from backpacking to tennis. He originally hails from Seattle but now lives in "the other" Washington.
