Dheeraj Kumar Gupta

Dheeraj is a Project Associate with the Energy Program in WRI India. He is based in Ranchi and supports the work in Jharkhand to improve access to reliable, affordable and sustainable energy for all. He engages with government and non-government stakeholders in rural and climate vulnerable areas with solutions and expertise to access clean energy interventions for development.

Prior to joining WRI India, Dheeraj worked with the Aga Khan Rural Support Program and prior to that he was a solar project engineer. He was managing multiple stakeholders to improve access to clean and green energy for rural communities for provision of alternate livelihoods opportunities. He was designing and studying different clean energy technology solutions like solar based irrigation systems, smokeless chulhas, mini- and micro-grids, solar cold storage systems and bio-gas plants.
